Other fun things which happened are:

Our 3rd wave of racial expansion voting has concluded! Kirins have declared victory and will be the next expansion released! So keep an eye out for those fire-y mutes!

Minifigs have finished printing, and have been cleaned. They will be vapour bathed in the coming weeks.

The Proof for the Map board has also arrived! It will undergo some colour tuning and then we will order stock for those purchased. No ETA on those, as turn around time from the printer is slow and if we get super picky with the colour it might take a while.

We are also working on adding the digital file of the map to Digital packs, but that will happen after we’ve organised it into a standard resolution for printing. Most likely 11×17.

There have also been requests for us to add a printable version of the back of the GM blind to the digital pack and that will most likely happen when we get around to it, as we need to re format the info into an 8.5×11 format.

Lastly we have plans to update our Quick Start Guide and offer it for free on our store page so that it is more easily accessible.

We are happy to announce the official release date for the Bat pony expansion will be Spoopy day 2019! That’s right Oct 31st 2019, at like midnight. So those of you who haven’t decided on a costume for that Halloween party will have like 18 whole hours to get a bat pony made. The remaining majority of you who, like us at DTS, are too awkward for halloween parties, will have something to look forward to for your halloween game.

Other than that we have been working on minifigs and the map board and whatnot.

We are excited to announce that our Bestiary is finally done and sent off to the Printer, and with that the Gilded cage has been released to the Indiegogo and Patreon customers yesterday!

Those who are at the 35$ tier on patreon will get access in a couple weeks, and the rest in about a month’s time. Though we might have a few physical copies for sale/display at Ciderfest if they arrive in time.

With that we are switching focus on finishing up maps, minifigures and the Bat Ponies, many of which we hope to have good news about those soon.

We’ve come to terrify you with news… or something. Lot’s of pretty good news too.

Minifigs are progressing slowly but surely. L9OBL started a new job and thus the printing has slowed down as he can’t print when he’s at work. So those will probably be done before christmas.

The Gilded Cage has finished editing, and L9OBL is using his limited free time to pretty it up and fix all the formatting errors caused by the editing team. He’s about halfway through all of that. The Gilded cage unfortunately won’t be available at Ciderfest, But should be released to Patreon and Indiegogo Customers around then should receive their digital copies.

Also we are going to be at Ponyville Ciderfest 2019! Which is happening Nov 1-3 in Milwaukee! so come and find us… Well specifically Moon, who will be the only one going.

We will also be showcasing the newly finished GM Blinds! Patrons who are in the Patreon Channel on our discord got to see pictures of the proof we got shipped to us. They look quite nice. Those who have box sets which include a GM Blind will have them mailed out with their GC. but if you’ll be at Ciderfest, shoot us an email and we’ll get things set up for you to pick up one of the  ones we are bringing to Ciderfest. We also lowered the Price of the GM blind to 10$ as well… we aren’t comfortable charging 20$ for really sexy looking thin cardboard. If anyone bought the GM blind for 20$ stand alone, and aren’t too pleased with this change (honestly we’re not sure anyone did), We’ll be willing to send you two.. or work something out… but uhhh that extra 10$ is kinda needed and we can’t refund it… sorry.  Either way, enjoy some pictures of the proof!

We are back with another Dev Blog update, it will be short, but it’s good news!

So for those who are looking forward to a new Racial expansion, Bat Ponies have won the vote and will be the next race released. No set timeline for when that will be done though.

The Gilded cage, is almost past the editing stage and we hope to have it sent off to the printer early October. Books ordered after BronyCon are still on back order, as it took time to get the money from our payment processor but everything ordered on/before BronyCon should be in the mail.

We’re also working on the GM Screens, for those who ordered box sets/screen. The design is mostly done, But L9OBL is worried about how the info on the back will turn out and ordered a proof, which should arrive in a few weeks, once the proof is done, he’ll make any needed adjustments and take pictures to share.

Minifigs are also currently being printed. It’s slow going, but we’re about half way through printing all of them. After they are printed they need to be vapour bathed and will be mailed out. L9OBL will also contact the customers with box sets to see if they want to get the minifigs mailed out as soon as theyre done, or wait until everything is completed. The Map and Box are also going through preliminary design work, mostly just trying to find the best options for printing

It’s that time again Dead Tree Fans! The wind whispers sweet spoilers, Dead Tree Staff cry in panic and fear, the masses march in fevered anticipation. It’s as the prophecies foretold, another book nears release.

The Bestiary is finished formatting. All 175 monsters, all the Perks, traits, tricks that make up the basis for your GM’s revenge are in the book and *Almost* ready for the Editing Team.  This book still requires a once over by the Writing and Game dev teams to ensure that the monsters, their loot, XP gain, etc all all good and fair. This check should, if our day lives don’t interfere too much, be done in the next couple days. After that it should take the Editing team about a week or so to go through the book and do their thing. After that, the formatting team needs to give one more once over and then the book should be ready for the printer and Indiegogo/Patreon Release. There still isn’t a hard set release date, but we are hoping for about the 7th or 8th of September.

In more exciting and less “damn it release the book already” news. We are also excited to have announced on the 23rd of August, our official incorporation anniversary, that the Changeling race expansion will be available (in digital format only) for purchase on September 1st 2019! Indiegogo and Patreon customers of sufficient tier will get the expansion for free, but other than that, this expansion will be available for purchase to EVERYONE at the same time.  So look forward to that, as that will be out in less than a week!

After the release of the Gilded cage we will be working on the free PDF addition which is the still unnamed NPC book. NPCs are still being stated and we aren’t going to rush too much as we are also looking to work on finishing up add-ons promised during our indiegogo campaign, so it may take a while to get done.

A fair amount of things have happened this week. The Gilded Cage is ALMOST done. We just have a couple more monsters to finish adding in and then hand it over to our editors. So it should be done and sent off to the printer in a couple of weeks-ish.

Those waiting for their Locked safes who didn’t pick them up at BCon can expect them soon as they are in the mail, and those who ordered books on our website / for delivery at Brony Con can expect them to come off of back order in a couple weeks once we get them from the printer.

In addition we are super stoked to announce that the Changeling Racial expansion is almost done and is undergoing its final editing and checks. The .Pdf will be available for sale for 9.99$ on our website in early September. Indiegogo book set/Box set customers, and current Patreon subscribers of 10$/month or higher will get the expansion for free (non-current 100$ tier Patrons who are receiving the patreon box set will get it for free as well).

With that i’m going to had things off to Moonhoof who wanted to talk a little bit more in detail about what happened at BronyCon.

Hi there, Moon here. So, Bronycon. It was.. intense. Between the 4 days, they hype, and just linecon it was a crazy time. I mostly lived in the vendor hall so if I missed you while there I do apologize. For those of you who came to the DTS panel or just came down to vendors and chatted, hope you enjoyed your time and thanks for keeping me company. To those of you who got books/PDFs at the con, I hope you have enjoyed reading through them. To those of you who still have books coming, I can happily tell you that books are going out tomorrow. I am sorry for the delay about everything, prepping for the con became my life leading upto everything and then between work, my birthday, and the Gilded Cage, time just got away from me. There were a few DTS games ran, ranging from meatgrinder-y to cooking show of doom. Not as many as we would have liked considering this was Bcon-F but, sadly, thems the shakes. All in all, good con. I hope those of you who could attend had a grand ol’ time. With any luck, I’ll be able to see at least some of you all come November. And with that, this has been Moonhoof. Until next time.

BronyCon was last week, so let’s get into how that went. All and all it was good time, Moonhoof spent most of the convention in the Vendor’s hall, where we sold out of most of the books. Zen spent a lot of time running games of Fallout Equestria and Demo-ing Dames of Asstoria. Both had excellent tunr outs and were usually full. We also had our panel on Friday Night, which was packed full despite  competing with the concert! We talked about the Gilded Cage, The NPC Factions book, and the Changeling race expansion, as well as Dames of Asstoria, our next project after Fallout Equestria is done.

Speaking about the Gilded cage, quite a bit of work has gone into it and the book is almost finished formatting. It’s missing a few monsters, and the Monster Perks/Traits still need to be put in. The Changeling expansion is also almost complete, and should be releasing near the beginning of September.

That was the short of everything, We had an absolute blast at the last ever BronyCon and we are glad we got to share it with those of you who came and interacted with us.

Things have been kind of hectic lately, this Dev Blog has some good and bad news.

The good news is YAY BronyCon. We have a vendors table (number 303) as well as a Panel on Friday, at 11:45 PM in the Hall of the Moon. So get hyped for that! The full map with our location is below.

However, the bad news, is that unfortunately due to real life issues as well as BronyCon Prep. We have NOT been able to mail out any books in quite some time, and probably won’t be able to until a little bit after BronyCon. So for that we apologize, we have been trying our best to get things mailed out, and were hoping to have it all done by this weekend. But the reality is that it just didn’t happen. So Those who have ordered books and are waiting for them in the mail, if you are attending BronyCon please send us an Email and we will allow you to pick up your books at BronyCon. Those who don’t or aren’t going to BronyCon (or don’t want to pick them up at BronyCon). Worry not, your books are being set aside and will be left at home so we don’t accidentally sell them.
